Ron Paul Appointed Secretary of the Treasury

Ron Paul Appointed Secretary of the Treasury

During a July 31, 2008 conference call heard by a relatively small group, it was announced that Ron Paul will be appointed as the next Secretary of the Treasury...that is in Dr. Chuck Baldwin's fantasy. The Constitution Party's 2008 Presidential candidate, Dr. Chuck Baldwin revealed his fantasy when he was asked about his presidential intentions for the Federal Reserve.

This conference call was sponsored by a group called Restore the Republic. While I am familiar with this particular group I am not familiar with Dr. Chuck Baldwin. Until this call I had not known about his candidacy for President of the United States of America.

Did you know about him or his run for President? I'm assuming that those of you who already back a candidate know all about him. I'm sure no one would have chosen to openly support a particular candidate if they had not researched all of the options out there.

Some of you out there will justify your lack of self-education by telling me that there is no need to look beyond Democrat or Republican. You would say history proves third party candidates just don't have much of a chance. My response: that's because thousands upon thousands never had the courage to vote their values. Thousands upon thousands took the lazy way out and didn't do the math of "everybody has just one vote". Thousands upon thousands looked the other way, claiming failure by forfeiture.

I'm not saying that I am now a supporter of Dr. Chuck Baldwin. I haven't done enough research yet. What I am saying is that you do a disservice to yourself, your family, your friends, and your fellow Americans when you do not educate yourself about the entire roster of candidates.

  • I first learned of Mr. Baldwin's candidacy on the Alex Jones Show a few weeks back, and I'm considering giving him my vote. He has a lot of work to do on his website in order to clearly state his positions ... but he's very well spoken (a preacher and radio host himself) and by far the most "presidential" of the alternative candidates. Obviously he has no chance to win, but I've finally come to the conclusion that either of the two mainstream candidates would be a complete disaster -- that is, more of the same.

  • During the phone conference he stated that his campaign had recently made organizational changes. Dr. Baldwin said he believed his campaign materials would be better organized and more readily available sometime this week.
